As a professional recording artist, I provide high-quality studio and remote saxophone sessions across genres - jazz, soul, funk,electronic and beyond. Expect polished tone, tight timing and creative input that fits seamlessly into your mix.
The studio is a home from home for me. A place for experimenting, embracing mistakes (even though there are none) and getting a room moving.
I am recording my own original work at the moment and also feature on recordings by a number of artists and recordings.
My recording work displays a deep appreciation and passion for so many genres of music. When booked for a studio session, I am very happy with either a blank canvas or playing exactly what you have already written. I also know my saxophones inside out that I play many different sounds and moods.
Relaxed and productive
A session where everyone is relaxed enough to play but with the right about of passion is perfect for everyone in that studio. And it is the environment I create. When I join your session, I will be open to all ideas and there’s nothing like a jam or something out of the ordinary to create a comfortable and energized atmosphere, fostering creativity and collaboration. Often the best music comes from an accident!
Remote recording
Us musicians find ourselves in all sorts of places all the time. In days gone by, this would sometimes make pinning down a solo musician for a session quite tricky.
Now, you can share your tracks with me, I can prepare some options and record wherever we are in the world. It can be delivered as a spontaneous improvisation, ‘in the style of…’ or as a delicately crafted contribution to your work. It is entirely up to you.
I also offer mastering and ‘touching up’ services to many musicians and producers at very competitive rates.
